Got snowed in on my way to Utah and stayed the night here and couldn’t be happier with my stay! Super friendly staff made checking in a breeze and they’re… read more dog friendly so no worries on that end. Impressive selection for breakfast and coffee brewed fresh. Didn’t have my diesel on this trip but noticed plug ins for block heaters for every spot in the parking lot! Room was clean and warm overall a 10/10 experience, great vibe, great staff would highly recommend for any stay!

October 20, 2022 - Niki D AMAZING!!! – As their sign states outside- “We’re only ugly on the outside” is completely true! The minute we walked in the door, we felt like we were home. Extremely welcoming, wonderful… read more homey feel and look. We were told to use the lobby (that looks like a home living room) as our living room, to help ourselves to coffee, fruit, juice or whatever we wanted in the fridge. The room was extremely clean- we were also assured that they wash everything right down to the shower curtain and comforter between guests (was very nice to know we had a clean room after a stay in a big named hotel the previous night that was horrible) the bed was comfortable and felt like home. In the morning over breakfast, we got a history lesson of the town and the inn, how the owners have a huge plan in motion to completely renovate the beautiful 200 year old inn. We would highly recommend The Sundowner Inn to anyone, and would go out of our way to stay here again!!!!

Our two rooms were clean and conveniently sized for our family of 8 adults and 2 mid-sized dogs. We had all the amenities: charging station, cable tv, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, extra towels and blankets. The bathroom was so cute, as well as clean and functional, with its beautiful older tile and fixtures. We slept wonderfully, not hearing any noises from the street nearby or the train tracks. The parking lot was small, but not a real problem to navigate. Our breakfast was superb: scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, various pastries, juices, excellent coffee. The Sundowner Inn more resembles a B&B than it does your run-of-the-mill hotel chain, with real hospitality and comfort offered by the owners. We would stay again!

The complimentary breakfast has a lot of choices not seen elsewhere. Glad it worked out to stay this year for a couple days.

What really saves this as a place to stay is the fact you can tell it is a family run place and they are slowly revamping. It does have a warm vibe.

Liked, that the air conditioning was central air and very quite. The continental breakfast was very good. The next time we are thru Newcastle we will definitely stay here again.

She took the time to show us the simple breakfast facilities and then took us upstairs to show us to our room (29 upstairs) and made sure everything was good. The room was super nice. Plush with a very comfortable king bed. We slept so well here it was ridiculous…super quiet. Great shower. This was the best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks on the road.

The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure all your needs are meet. We had a delicious breakfast and great coffee in the AM. After the long drive you can sit out on their porch and unwind. We highly recommend this place to stay when you are traveling thru Wyoming.

Getting ready to move in the area, we had many errands to run. Was wonderful to come back each day and visit with our hosts, Scott and Jacinta. They are so kind and helpful. Not at all like coming back to your generic drive-up motel room. And we always looked forward to some special treat. We have stayed at the Sundowner three times now. Would not stay anywhere else. Other motels are always a disappointment after staying here.
