"Soon as I walked in the door, I knew this place was going to be a great place to stay. The front room made it feel like home with the very comfortable chairs and couch along with the huge TV also with a computer provided for us to use. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Stacy and Clint were very nice. If I were to be in the area again, I would go out of my way to stay here."
--- Paul from Minasha, Wisconsin

--- Brett & Christine from Gillette, Wyoming
"My wife and I really enjoyed the hospitality and uniqueness of the Sundowner Inn. It was very clean, cozy and quiet. The owner was exceptionally kind, helpful and went out of her way to make our two day stay enjoyable. If you are ever in Newcastle, WY this is the place to stay.
It reminded us of a modified bed and breakfast with its homey setting."
--- Dennis and Nancy from Grove City, Pennsylvania
"Stacey and her husband Clint are so cool, the best down to earth people I may have ever met. They make you feel at home in everything that you may need. They will sit with you and make you feel like you are one of their family. The best managers I have ever delt with when staying out of town. I will come back here anytime I return to this area.
I will recommend the Sundowner Inn to anybody who ever comes to this part of the country. Especially for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Or for any other time of the year."
--- Don from Eureka, Kansas
"Despite the close proximity of trains, my room was amazing quiet! I really enjoyed staying with you and will stop by again on my next trip to Sturgis."
--- Brian from Ramona, California
"Great place to stay! Stacey and Clint are the best. The rooms are clean with everything you need and the beds are comfortable.. We stayed the week for Sturgis bike week and unlike everyone else within a 100 mile radius of Sturgis they did not hike up their rates. Truly great atmosphere and great people. Thank you again for everything. Hope to see you in a couple of years!"
--- Leslie from Spring Hill, Kansas
"Great Bed and Breakfast environment at discount motel prices.I am a traveling salesman and spend 20-25 days per month in hotels and motels. As a result, I am constantly on the hunt for great places to stay that are affordable. This is one of best finds I have ever had the pleasure of discovering. I felt like I was at a family member's home rather than a motel or hotel and yet the rates were not what a B&B would have charged. This is the best hotel and hotel value in Newcastle. Stay here."
--- Jim from Highlands Ranch, Colorado
"The Sundowner Motel was amazing. We stayed there in July of 2009. When we arrived, it was a very nice place. Although people may be slightly turned off by the exterior (which isn't even that bad), the inside is great. There is a very nice lobby/living room area with nice couches, furniture, a huge flatscreen TV, and a computer (for guests who don't have a laptop). The hotel serves great breakfast, and the rooms are great with extremely comfortable beds and great mattresses. This place was much better than any hotel chain company such as Holiday Inn. Also, I am a railfan (fan of trains, railroads), and apparently the husband of the woman who runs the very nice place is a worker for the BNSF railway, and she gave me a free BNSF hard hat and orange vest with a whistle to keep as a souvenir, a very kind gesture to give me such a gift (and for those of you who don't understand, gift means it was FREE :). It was a very nice place, and if you go through Newcastle, don't stay at any hotel chain such as Holiday Inn. Stay at the Sundowner Motel :)
Also, it is conveniently located across the street from the Old Mill, a very nice local restaurant which uses an old grain elevator. Their meal was amazing. I loved it. There was a salad bar too, which was nice, and the waitress was nice. The best part was a homemade apple pie that I got. They have 6 choices in the most amazing homemade pies ever. Each with homemade crust, and fresh out of the oven, also coming with a scoop of ice cream. :)

The hotel, as I mentioned before, was amazing. It was clean, the lady running the place was very kind, the other people who worked there were nice, the rooms were great, the service was unbeatable, and it was a very nice, cozy little inn and well kept. Also, the prices are absolutely unbeatable, especially for all of the accommodations you get (such as free wifi, free breakfast, etc). You could get a room between $60-80 per night, and the rooms were decent sized, very clean, and very accommodating, and the restrooms were also very nice and clean.:)"

"Thank you for giving our friend Donna all the information on your "bed and Breakfast"..How interesting. We had all discussed the building. I want to tell you , how nice your place is and much we enjoyed staying there. It was a nice welcome in our travels and was just like stopping at "Mom's" place for the night. We were traveling around to what ended up 3919 miles , in and out of motels, seeing our beautiful country. Although the motels were nice, your place was , like I said, just like Home. Thanks again and we will surely come back if in the area."
--- Carol and Ed, Lompoc, California
"We enjoyed our stay so much...thank you for providing a "place like home" for us. I really like your decorating touch; our room was lovely."
--- Mary from Colbert, Washington
"We have one of the best stays ever. The owner has decorated beautifully and made us feel at home. The beds were wonderful. The continental breakfast was very good, especially after being at Super 8 the last few days. I would definitely come back again and will tell all my friends about this little home away from home."
--- Leta from Spokane, Washington
"My buddies (Bill & Danny) and I had the greatest time. Stacy and Clint were like old friends with the best hospitality and a great clean Inn within a comfortable ride from the Black Hills. Thx for making us feel at home! Clint / Stacy, to refresh your memory, we were there bike week 2009 and enjoyed sitting on the porch talking to you and tossing back a couple brews. Hope to see you again ~ Jeff, Danny, & Bill."

"I've stayed in Newcastle one night every other week for the past 5 years. I can assure you that the Sundowner will be the best accomodation you will find, and will meet or exceed any other inn, motel, or hotel you'll find between Denver and Rapid City."
--- Scott from Erie, Colorado
"Great place for a quick stop on my way through! The front desk lady was so nice and helpful making sure my stay was comfortable. Rooms were clean and well kept! If I ever pass through again, I will definately be staying here!"
--- J. T. from Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota
"Clean & comfortable! Just a pleasant place to stay. Been there 4 times and making
reservations today for a 5th."
--- Walt from Eden, South Dakota
"This is the perfect get away. I felt right at home here and the staff was wonderful. I will stay here again! Don't miss this one."
"The sign outside says,"May all who enter as guests, Leave as friends." It is so true. I can truly say, we were served. Anything we ask for, their was a way made. Wow! My husband and I stayed here for about two months. And would surely come back. You will have to come see for yourself. What I like about
the Sundowner Inn, is new mattresses, the comforters on the bed, flat screen, tv's, cable, dvd player, The lobby is like your living room at home, with a big flat screen tv. And I have to say the internet connection is the best. It's not just the material things, it's the service we got. We were given a special price
for staying, we were given our privacy, and anything again we needed, it was provided to us. I can go on, but I believe I have said enough. I will miss the friends I made and the hospitality that was given to us."
--- Raymond and Phyllis from Baker, Louisiana
"4 friends on motorcycles met at the Sundowner Inn during a cross-country motorcycle trip. Two from the west coast and two from the Chicago area. We spent 4 days at the Sundowner and they were probably the best 4 days of our trips. Stacey and her husband were accommodating to us and our bikes and the minute you walk in the Inn you are made to feel welcome. Two of the best innkeepers we have ever had the opportunity to meet!
Continental breakfast, very clean rooms and good, honest hospitality.
Great hosts and we are looking forward to go back the Summer of 2014!!"
--- Joe from Lombard, Illinois
I highly recommend the Sundowner Inn. I loved the accommodations. They were comfortable and clean. Stacey was so accommodating and nice and helpful. She makes you feel like its your home away from home! It is walking distance to Donna's diner which I highly recommend and other little stores.
New Castle is a very warm small town. The people in the town are so nice. A true example of Americana which is often missing in America!
--- Gail from Maryland
The owner goes way beyond the call of duty to ensure that your stay is a very pleasant experience. The rooms may be in an older building but they are VERY clean. The beds are excellent, the rooms quiet and the Inn keeper is one of the best. comments: If you are traveling through or planning a few days in Newcastle, this is the place that you want to stay.Stacy, thanks for everything. You are a great Inn Keeper.
--- Jim from B.C. Canada
After looking for a room near the Black Hills for hours, we stumbled
upon this place. I am sure glad we did, it was an adorable, cozy, "home like"
atmosphere, that was very affordable. This very welcoming place felt just like we
were staying with family. Totally worth it!!!
Adorable set up.
--- Kyla from Liberty, Indiana
The best thing that happened,is the location allows anyone and everyone
to be where their able to be close to restaurants and grocery stores. Plus their
service is friendly. Thanks to Stacy Sieber and Aubra, I'm still here, and I'm close
to work. I hope I can stay here in the future.
